This edition leverages the purchased frameworks and those created and/or modified by your organization. When first starting Enterprise Architect, it reads the framework and passes the underlying UML profile to Enterprise Architect for it to set up the toolboxes, quick links, etc. It also interprets the frameworks metamodel and rules while you work on your models. This edition includes the Standard Modeling Utilities.
The MGR edition lets you to synchronize your models with your framework. Synchronization adds any missing framework tags and user-defined tags from the framework to elements in your model based on their stereotype. Doing this after making changes to your framework means that models will not become obsolete. You can optionally choose to remove any element tags or connector tags not defined in the framework for the stereotype.
The MGR edition provides two levels of synchronization with the framework. You can choose to synchronize your entire model or just selected items.
OAD’s (EA)2 Enterprise Architecture and Risk Management Framework is included with all editions, except MGU. It corporates concepts from various standards including TOGAF, Archimate, RUP, RM-ODP, and the Business Model Canvas. It also includes a series of user interface dialogs that eases the task of modeling a service based approach to architectural requirements.
